Route 43 Veteran Day Event review by Six Gun: Chapter bought the hamburgers, hot dogs, brats, and buns for this event. Donations were accepted and after paying for the meat the chapter made a little money. Route 43 HD gave our chapter a donation as well. Route 43 would like the event to be bigger next year and will be forming a committee to prepare for next year. If you are interested in being on the committee please get in touch with Six Gun.

People will be able to register on the National website. People will need to use PayPal to pay for this ride. A cutoff date will be listed and people who register late will be charged more. The ride will leave from Potawatomi Casino, kickstands up at 08:30. Lunch will be at Stadium View. We will need maximum participation for this event. WAPL Christmas Bash: Ballsack gave 2 sets of tickets for this event being held at Waverly Beach on December 19th featuring Bret Michaels. Those who were present and interested were entered in for the drawing. Congratulations to Duane Wautier and April Spykerman.

Other information:
Josh Hermsen provided information that he and a group he is associated with (sorry, I didn't hear the name of the group) are in the process of designing a bracelet to be worn in memory of soldiers who died after returning home. More information to come on that.

Desert Vets have a program in place to help Veterans and their families during Christmas. If you know of a Veteran who can use a helping hand this Christmas please contact Iron Sites via email or IM with names. This is strictly confidential.

Six Gun provided information about Vets Journey Home. An organization that provides weekend retreats to Veterans in need of counseling. This is Veterans counseling Veterans. Six Gun will be one of those counselors. All of the retreats are full paid for Veterans by donations the organization receives. Six Gun suggested that maybe our Chapter could sponsor a ride to benefit this organization. This will be discussed further at the next meeting.

The next meeting will be on December 12, 2015. Same time/Same place.

Tanners was very kind to us today and provided our meal at no cost. We passed a hat in order to collect a tip for the workers who serve us at our meetings. Our waitress was very thankful and tried to donate the money back to our Chapter. She was politely told no, that this was to show our appreciation to them.

More info on Christmas party coming in the next few weeks.
